Product of the Month

“What's new in stock, particularly useful for the season or simply just interesting this month. Have a look.”

June / July 2009

Using natural products for skin care or around the house is rewarding on many levels but can still be challenging particularly at times when we perceive that the benefits may not live up to expectations. Sometimes the products may seem more difficult to use; the cost may appear too high or the expected results may not be immediately apparent. I have experienced this too from time to time and with this in mind, formulated the new Natural Skin Remedies balms as products that would really deliver on all levels. During April, the Organic Preserve & Protect balm was the Product of the Month, and for May the Repair & Revitalise balm got the special offer treatment, so thank you to everyone who bought them and for the excellent feedback. This month and until the end of July, it's the turn of the Organic Calm & Care For Balm. This product is available in a very handy 50ml light wieght aluminium jar, and is reduced from £6.50 to just £5.50, representing a saving of over 15%. This is a natural first aid kit essential for bumps and bruises, sprains and strains and any trauma to the joints or soft tissues where the skin is not broken. Formulated with organic Sea Buckthorn Pulp CO2 extract, a bioactive botanical ingredient included for its rejuvenating, pain relieving and anti-inflammatory properties; organic Arnica Tincture which is beneficial for warming the muscles before physical activity and for calming them following exertion or jet lag, as well as for its traditional use in healing bumps and bruises; and organic Helichrysum essential oil, a potent anti-inflammatory agent with a warm, slightly honey-like, rich, buttery fragrance with green notes of wood, spices and herbs, for soothing sensitive skin. There is anecdotal evidence of Helichrysum’s amazing power when used on broken bones and for fading bruises in record time. I think of it as the essential oil equivalent of arnica and like to combine the two for optimal healing power.
